NamedFolder7 is a system 7 version of the old NamedFolder for system 6. It is an extension that makes creating folders in the Finder a little bit simpler and more natural.
Typically, when you create a new folder in the Finder either by using the Command N keystroke or the New Folder menu item, a folder with the name untitled folder appears in the Finder window. Then you must rename the folder and then the folders are reordered alphabetically - if the current view is 'by name.'
When using NamedFolder7, choosing New Folder (or pressing Command N) in the Finder will bring up a dialog box in which the name of the folder can be inserted. After pressing return, a folder with that name is created in the current Finder directory and appears in the appropriate window in the proper alphabetic position.
